What is the Channel for?

The Ethics and Transparency Channel is the official means for receiving reports, inquiries, suggestions, and requests for clarification related to our practices and those of our supply chain. It can be used to report situations involving.

Ethical conduct and integrity

Misconduct, conflicts of interest, fraud, bribery, corruption, or any practice that violates our Code of Conduct.

Labor issues and decent work Situations related to

  • Child labor

  • Forced labor or labor analogous to slavery

  • Moral or sexual harassment

  • Discrimination of any kind

  • Abusive disciplinary practices

  • Non-compliance with working hours

  • Irregular remuneration

  • Violations of freedom of association or the right to collective bargaining

  • Any other rights guaranteed by current labor and social security legislation

Occupational safety and health Unsafe working conditions, uncontrolled risks, accidents, omissions in occupational health, or any situation that endangers the physical or mental integrity of workers.

Environment Irregularities, incidents, or practices that may cause negative environmental impact, in disagreement with applicable legislation or the company's environmental commitments.

Privacy and information security Leakage or improper use of personal data, sensitive data, or confidential and contractual information protected under Valbormida's information security policies.

 

Who can use the Channel?

The Channel is open to all stakeholders — employees, suppliers, service providers, customers, business partners, the community, and anyone who has a direct or indirect relationship with the activities of Valbormida Brasil.

Anonymity and Non-Retaliation Communications may be made on an identified or anonymous basis, according to the user's preference. Valbormida Brasil guarantees that no person who uses this channel in good faith will suffer any form of retaliation, discrimination, or penalty as a result of their report.

 

How does it work?

The Channel is operated by Be.Aliant, an independent and specialized company contracted to ensure the impartiality and confidentiality of the entire process. By clicking the access button, you will be directed to the Be.Aliant system, which allows for the registration, follow-up, and secure communication between the user and our responsible team. All reports received are forwarded to the

Valbormida Brasil Ethics Committee, composed of:

  • General Director

  • Commercial Director

  • Human Resources Analyst

  • Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator

In cases where a Committee member is a party involved in the reported occurrence, that member is automatically excluded from the analysis, ensuring the impartiality of the process. When necessary, reports related to information security and data protection will be redirected to the person responsible for Information Security Management at Valbormida.

The Valbormida Ethics and Transparency Channel is operated by be.aliant, a fully independent company. Available 24/7, with confidentiality and protection against retaliation. Reports may be identified or anonymous.
